Main Beach - Merimbula
Merimbula Beach is located over the bridge just minutes from the central shopping area.
Merimbula Beach extends for a couple of kilometres, all the way to Pambula beach.
Mereimbula Beach is ideal for surfing and swimming. It is also one of the two beaches that are patrolled by lifeguards
during summer months. Families can rest assured and feel at ease, knowing that professional lifeguards are keeping watch,
letting visitors relax and enjoy the summer sun and warm waters.
Due to the great expanse and ideal surfing conditions, Merimbula Beach hosts the annual "Mambo
Classic" held at the start of summer each year. Giving locals and tourists fabulous entertainment with
"Stand Up Surfing", "Kite Surfing", and "Wave Sailing". Athletes come from all over Australia to compete
in these events.
It has everything you need including barbeque facilities, toilets, play equipment for the kids, and an oval to kick the ball
(located at "Ford Park"). This makes it an ideal way to spend a day in Merimbula.
If you keep an eye out, you may even see a Dolphin or two playing in the waves!
