Merimbula local attractions


There are many attractions and things to do in Merimbula. If you are into water sports, you will definitely want to visit the many beaches along the sapphire coast.

For the golfer's, there are two major golf courses, each within minutes from the town centre. One being located between Pambula and Merimbula. And the other located in Tura Beach, just a short drive north of Merimbula. Both courses provide a challenge for the seasoned veteran, whilst still being enjoyable for the uninitiated.

Magic Mountain is sure to be a hit with the kids and the big kids at heart. With two large water slides, go-carts, mini-golf, high speed twisting and turning toboggans, and much more. It is easy to spend a whole day playing at Magic Mountain.

For those wanting to have a relaxing barbeque, there are a couple of parks available with full facilities and amenities. Spencer Park is located towards Short Point Beach and Ford Park is just across the bridge next to Main Beach. Both are less than a minutes walk from the beach.

Also for the family, ten pin bowling, arcade games, 'Zone 3' laser tag, are mini-golf are available at Merimbula's 'Top Fun'. Top Fun is positioned right at the top of Market St and will guarantee hours of fun.



Visiting the nearby towns


There are many interesting and exciting towns that are begging you to visit, all within less than an hours drive from Merimbula. Each also having its own unique characteristics.

Bega is well known for its dairy farming background, with international recognition for the famous Bega Cheese.

Tathra is also a much loved holiday destination, having several caravan parks, an abundance of accommodation and great beaches.

The quiet village of Pambula is adored for its arts and crafts. Pambula Beach houses the main district lifesaving club house where the local lifesavers train hard to look after locals and tourists during the hot summer months.

Eden has its origins tied deeply into the whale hunting. Eden has the largest shipping port on the far south coast and has seen many freighters in its time transporting a variety of imports and exports.

Bermagui is primarily known as a fishing paradise and is approx one hour north of Merimbula. It is a well known tourist town in itself.
